He is a United States Navy veteran, and a graduate of its Nuclear Power School program.

A native of Hanoi, Vietnam, Hoa holds a master’s degree in magazine and digital storytelling from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and French from Mount Holyoke College.
John covers Puerto Rico's debt crisis for Americas Core Credit, and his coverage has earned him awards from the Specialized Information Publishers Association and the Puerto Rico Overseas Press Club. Prior to joining Reorg, John was editor of the San Juan Star. He has a B.A. in English literature and anthropology from Rutgers University and an M.F.A. in writing from Brooklyn College.

Prior to joining Reorg, Lucas practiced in the Bankruptcy, Financial Reorganization and Creditors' Rights group at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., with a focus on complex healthcare cases. He has a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Marvis covers the primary market as a reporter for Americas Municipals. Prior to joining Reorg, Marvis was a reporter at Bloomberg News, where they covered public finance and new bond issuance on the municipal credit team; Marvis also worked as a data journalist for The Colorado Sun. They have a B.A. in international relations and East Asian studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Patrick covers in-court and out-of-court restructurings and distressed situations, with a specific focus on Puerto Rico, for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg Patrick clerked for two U.S. bankruptcy judges, Judge John E. Waites (DSC) and Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez (Southern District of New York). He has an LL.M. in bankruptcy from St. John's University, a J.D. from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. in communication from the College of Charleston.
Seth has researched and reported on municipal credit for ten of the roughly 20 years that he's been writing about fixed income. Other experiences include tours through distressed corporate credit, leveraged, securitized and private finance. But its muniland that he finds most interesting. "If you've seen one muni bond, you've seen one muni bond," goes the old saying. He graduated from SUNY Albany a long time ago.
