UPDATE 3: 6:47 a.m. ET 7/21/2021: State-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), which was auctioning a portfolio of 16 NPLs aggregating INR 80.91 billion ($1.08 billion), has cancelled that auction due to lower than expected bid prices, according to three sources with knowledge.

LIC is now planning to solicit bids for individual NPLs, which are to be sent in by 2 p.m. IST on July 26, two of the sources said. The bids will be opened at 3 p.m. IST on the same day, according
