The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission each filed complaints this morning against FTX founder Samuel Bankman-Fried, with the CFTC including as defendants chapter 11 debtors FTX Trading, dba FTX.com, and Alameda Research LLC. Both complaints charge the defendants with defrauding customers and investors in violation of U.S. securities and commodities exchange laws.
