French premium food group Labeyrie Fine Foods beat its budgeted EBITDA in November as weaker-than-expected sales were offset by improved pricing and cost management, sources said.

Sales volumes reached 6,420 tonnes, which was 6% below the 6,830 tonnes budgeted and 5.8% below the 6,817 tonnes the group sold the same month the prior year. The shortfall was across the group’s product lines, but France Marques was especially weak, while Marée was impacted by high cod prices, sources said.
